The Future of PR in Africa: Trends Inspired by Keem Abdul’s Innovative Approach
Lagos, Nigeria (PinionNewswire) —
In recent years the public‑relations landscape across Africa has been reshaped by a new generation of communicators who blend digital savvy with deep cultural insight. One name that consistently surfaces as a catalyst for change is Keem Abdul, a PR strategist whose work with Nigerian celebrities, brands and political campaigns has set new benchmarks for creativity, measurement and inclusivity. By examining the principles that underpin his success, we can identify several trends that are likely to define the future of PR across the continent.

-
Data‑Driven Storytelling
Keem Abdul grounds his campaigns in hard data. Rather than relying solely on gut feeling, he tracks social‑media metrics, audience sentiment and media pick‑up in real time. This approach not only demonstrates ROI to clients but also allows for agile adjustments mid‑campaign.
Trend: African PR firms will increasingly adopt analytics platforms that integrate traditional media monitoring with social listening, offering dashboards that combine reach, engagement, share‑of‑voice and sentiment analysis in a single view.
Implication: Communicators will be able to justify budgets with concrete numbers and pivot quickly when a message is not resonating.
-
Micro‑Influencer Partnerships
While celebrity endorsements still have a place, Keem Abdul has shown that micro‑influencers—those with 5,000 to 50,000 followers—can deliver higher engagement at lower cost. Their audiences are often more niche and trust‑based, making them ideal for targeted campaigns.
Trend: Brands will allocate larger portions of their PR budgets to curated micro‑influencer networks, especially in regions where internet penetration is expanding but ad‑blocking is on the rise.
Implication: PR professionals will need tools to identify authentic micro‑influencers and manage long‑term relationships.
-
Purpose‑Centred Communication
Nigerian consumers are increasingly vocal about social issues, from gender equality to environmental sustainability. Keem Abdul’s campaigns frequently embed a social purpose, aligning the brand with causes that matter to its audience.
Trend: PR strategies will be built around “purpose‑first” narratives, where the brand’s stance on a social issue is communicated before product features.
Implication: Companies will be held accountable for the authenticity of their activism, requiring PR teams to ensure consistent action behind the messaging.
-
Integrated Digital‑Traditional Media
Africa’s media ecosystem remains a mix of radio, television, print and digital platforms. Keem Abdul excels at weaving these channels together, ensuring a cohesive story whether it appears on a billboard in Lagos or a TikTok video.
Trend: Integrated campaigns that synchronize earned media, owned content and paid placements across all screens will become the norm.
Implication: PR agencies will need cross‑functional teams that understand both traditional media relations and digital content production.
-
Real‑Time Crisis Management
In an age where a single tweet can spark a PR crisis, Keem Abdul emphasizes rapid response. His teams have established “war rooms” that monitor online chatter 24/7 and deploy pre‑approved statements within minutes.
Trend: Real‑time monitoring tools coupled with predefined crisis protocols will become standard operating procedure for any African brand with a digital footprint.
Implication: Speed will often outweigh perfection; the ability to acknowledge a mistake quickly and transparently will be a key differentiator.
-
Emphasis on Local‑Language Content
Keem Abdul’s work frequently incorporates Nigerian pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo and other local languages, recognizing that language is a gateway to cultural relevance.
Trend: PR content will be increasingly localized, not just in translation but in cultural nuance, to resonate with diverse audiences across the continent.
Implication: Agencies will invest in multilingual talent and regional insight to avoid missteps that can arise from literal translations.
-
Collaborative Ecosystem
Finally, Keem Abdul’s success is partly due to his willingness to collaborate with other creatives—designers, filmmakers, tech startups and even rival PR firms. This collaborative mindset amplifies reach and sparks innovation.
Trend: Co‑creation will become a hallmark of African PR, with brands partnering with cultural hubs, tech incubators and community organisations to co‑author narratives.
Implication: The traditional agency‑client silo will give way to fluid networks where value is generated through shared creativity.
Looking Ahead
The future of PR in Africa is bright, driven by a blend of data, digital ingenuity and cultural depth. Keem Abdul’s approach offers a roadmap: let insights guide storytelling, prioritize authentic voices, and embed purpose at the core of every communication. As the continent’s internet user base continues to grow and consumer expectations evolve, agencies that adopt these trends will not only survive but set the pace for the next decade of African public relations.
Books by Keem Abdul
Keem Abdul has put his thoughts on leadership and media into print. His most notable work is The King Maker, a tribute that celebrates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and the role of strategic influence in shaping Nigeria’s future.
Award Received in the UK
In a glittering ceremony in London, Keem Abdul was honored as the African Media Personality of the Year at the Global Awards London 2024. The accolade, presented by Dr David James Egwu of the Africa Advancement Forum, recognized his transformative impact on media, PR and reputation building across the continent. He is also a recent alumnus of the Heroines Awards, with his next recognition slated for November.
These additions highlight how Keem Abdul is not only reshaping PR practices but also leaving a lasting literary and awards legacy that extends beyond Nigeria to the United Kingdom.

The two-day executive forum will bring manufacturing leaders, plant executives and technology innovators together to explore practical applications of AI, automation, robotics and connected manufacturing.
DALLAS, Texas
BMA Conventions will bring the Smart Manufacturing & AI Automation Convention 2027 to Dallas, Texas, from Feb 23, 2027 to Feb 25, 2027, creating a focused environment for manufacturing leaders to examine how artificial intelligence, automation and connected technologies are moving from experimentation into day-to-day industrial operations.

The three-day convention will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas Market Center and will connect senior professionals across manufacturing operations, engineering, plant leadership, maintenance, digital transformation and industrial technology.
As manufacturers work to improve productivity, reduce unplanned downtime, strengthen operational resilience and modernize production environments, technologies such as AI, robotics, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), predictive analytics and intelligent automation are becoming increasingly important to plant strategy.
The Smart Manufacturing & AI Automation Convention 2027 is designed around those practical challenges.
Rather than concentrating only on emerging technology, discussions will explore how manufacturers can apply new systems to measurable operational priorities including production performance, asset reliability, quality, maintenance, workforce development and plant-wide visibility.
Key areas of discussion will include:
- AI-powered production and intelligent process control
- Predictive maintenance and asset reliability
- Advanced robotics, cobots and autonomous production
- IIoT, edge technologies and connected factory systems
- MES, production analytics and real-time plant visibility
- Operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Industrial cybersecurity and operational resilience
- Supply chain visibility and business continuity
- Human-machine collaboration and workforce transformation
- Strategies for scaling automation across manufacturing operations
The convention will combine industry expert talks, executive panels, case studies, leadership discussions, networking and scheduled 1-on-1 meetings, creating opportunities for manufacturing decision-makers and selected technology providers to engage in more focused conversations.
From Technology Pilots to Operational Results
Artificial intelligence has quickly become one of the most discussed technologies in manufacturing. The next challenge for industrial organizations is determining where AI can generate practical value.
Predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection, production optimization, equipment monitoring and intelligent decision support are among the areas where manufacturers are increasingly exploring AI-driven approaches.
The Dallas convention will examine these applications alongside the infrastructure, data, workforce and operational strategies required to implement them effectively.
Connected manufacturing will also be central to the program.
By combining industrial equipment, sensors, software platforms, analytics and real-time operational data, manufacturers are gaining greater visibility into factory performance and identifying opportunities to respond to problems earlier.
Creating More Focused Industry Conversations
The Smart Manufacturing & AI Automation Convention is structured as a focused executive forum rather than a large-scale traditional trade show.
The format is designed to create repeated opportunities for meaningful conversations between manufacturing leaders and technology providers through conference sessions, networking periods and dedicated 1-on-1 meetings.
Day One will begin with exhibitor setup and networking activities, followed by a concentrated conference program on Day Two. Day Three will continue with leadership discussions, case studies and technology sessions before moving into dedicated 1-on-1 meetings.
Dallas at the Center of the Conversation
Hosting the convention in Dallas places the event within one of the country’s important industrial and technology markets and provides access to manufacturing organizations operating throughout Texas and the wider United States.
BMA Conventions is developing the event for executives, plant managers, engineering leaders, operations professionals, maintenance teams, digital transformation leaders and technology decision-makers responsible for improving manufacturing performance.
BMA Conventions Quote
“Manufacturers are no longer discussing AI and automation only as technologies of the future. The conversation is increasingly about where these technologies can solve real operational problems today. Our goal with the Smart Manufacturing & AI Automation Convention is to create a focused environment where industry leaders can exchange practical experiences, evaluate solutions and build relationships that can support the next stage of industrial transformation.”

Author J.D. Lemonis announces the upcoming release of If Cooper Could Talk, What Would He Say?, a charming new children’s book featuring The Great Cookie Showdown, a heartwarming story inspired by the author’s own lovable Goldendoodle, Cooper.

Written for young readers ages two to seven, the book introduces Cooper, a gentle and expressive Goldendoodle who may not be able to speak with words but always finds a way to communicate through his actions, gestures, and loving personality.
The story follows twins Billy and Rebecca as they face one of their biggest childhood challenges yet—the last cookie on the plate. After enjoying their treats, the twins must decide who deserves the final cookie. What begins as a playful disagreement quickly turns into a lesson about patience, kindness, and sharing.
Watching carefully from nearby, Cooper knows exactly what is happening. Although he cannot speak, Cooper uses his special “Doodle Solution” to bring the twins together. Through his clever actions, playful wiggles, and gentle reminders, Cooper helps Billy and Rebecca understand that sharing brings more happiness than winning.
Unlike many children’s books where a family dog is simply a pet or sidekick, Cooper becomes the wise and caring guide at the heart of the adventure. His silent communication teaches children that kindness can be shown in many ways even without words.
Inspired by years of watching Cooper’s expressive eyes, funny gestures, and playful personality, J.D. Lemonis combines her background as a lifelong artist with her passion for storytelling to create a book filled with humor, warmth, and meaningful lessons.
Perfect for bedtime reading, family story time, classrooms, and early childhood learning, If Cooper Could Talk, What Would He Say? encourages young readers to practice kindness, emotional awareness, problem-solving, and good manners.
The book will be available soon in e-book and paperback formats.

IMAGIN.studio Launches Self-Service Webshop for Copyright-Safe Vehicle Imagery
Amsterdam, NetherlandsNew self-service webshop offers a compliant alternative to generic AI-generated car images and assets with unclear usage rights
New self-service webshop offers a compliant alternative to generic AI-generated car images and assets with unclear usage rights
Amsterdam, Netherlands
IMAGIN.studio has launched a new online webshop giving car dealerships, marketing agencies and website developers direct access to accurate, copyright-safe vehicle imagery without needing an API integration, enterprise agreement or to rely on AI-driven images.

The launch follows research commissioned by IMAGIN.studio which found that 88% of US car dealers would pay at least $200 for a copyright-safe image of a specific vehicle, matching the required model, year, color and angle.
Two in five dealers said they would pay between $351 and $500, making this the most commonly selected price range. Four in five would pay no more than $500, while fewer than 2% said they were not prepared to pay anything. IMAGIN.studio used these findings to inform its webshop pricing.
Its $250 base price covers a medium-resolution 1200-pixel image for model years from 2017 to 2027. Prices vary according to the selected model year, licence plate customisation and licence duration.
“Generative AI has made it easy to create an image that looks like the right car, but just ‘looking’ right isn’t enough. The image must match the vehicle being advertised and come with usage rights the business can document,” said Martijn Versteegen, founder and CEO of IMAGIN.studio.
“Our survey shows that dealers place a clear commercial value on that certainty, but also have limits on what they will pay. We used those findings to set the webshop’s starting price and give businesses a direct way to buy the images they need.”
A direct route to licensed vehicle imagery
The webshop is launching with nearly 2,000 models and derivatives across 42 brands, with further vehicles added as IMAGIN.studio expands the service.
The service also responds to a persistent gap in vehicle advertising. Almost half of the dealers surveyed said they always advertise vehicles without a relevant image, while a further 33% said they do so regularly.
Copyright confidence also varies across the market. Some 12% of respondents could not confirm that copyright was covered across all the images used by their business. This rose to one third among dealers selling 100 vehicles or fewer each year.
“For smaller dealers, agencies and website developers, sourcing one accurate image can be disproportionately difficult,” added Versteegen. “The available options may be unsuitable, unclear from a licensing perspective or designed for companies purchasing imagery at scale.”
In the Webshop customers create a business account before selecting and purchasing an image. Once an order is completed, the customer receives a downloadable ZIP file containing the image, licence certificate and invoice.
Licences are available for one, three or five years. Unlike licensing models where the price changes according to how or where an image is used, IMAGIN.studio charges the same price across all permitted marketing uses. During the selected licence period, customers can use the image across websites, online advertising, banners, social media, email and other channels without additional usage fees.
The IMAGIN.studio webshop is available at https://shop.imaginstudio.com/
