DA Steel Pools Brings Made-to-Fit Steel Pools and Cold Plunges to Canadian and North American Backyards
LANGLEY, British Columbia –Langley-based custom steel fabricator expands access to prefabricated steel pools, plunge pools and cold plunges built with Canadian steel.
LANGLEY, British Columbia –
DA Steel Pools is expanding access to its made-to-fit steel pools, plunge pools and cold plunges for homeowners and project teams across Canada and North America. Based in Langley, British Columbia, the company designs and fabricates custom steel pool structures using Canadian steel, giving homeowners another option when a standard pool shape does not fit the space, access or design goals of the property.
For many homeowners considering a backyard pool, the first question is not the finish, the waterline tile or the final colour.
The first question is usually simpler.
Can a pool actually fit in this backyard?
That question can stop a project before it starts. A yard may be narrow, sloped, already landscaped or shaped around a patio, garden, fence line or entertaining area. A waterfront property may need to preserve a view corridor, follow a lot line or leave room for outdoor living. A homeowner may want a place to swim, cool down, relax or gather with family, but still need room for dining, planting, movement and the rest of the yard.
That is where custom steel pool construction changes the conversation.
Instead of choosing from a standard pool shape and then trying to make the yard work around it, the pool can be designed around the backyard itself. The length, width, depth and layout can respond to the property, the design plan and the way the space will actually be used.
For owner Devin Spink, a Red Seal certified welder with more than 20 years of steel fabrication and residential trade experience, that is the centre of the work. The company designs pool structures that are meant to fit the backyard, the project and the homeowner’s vision.
“In many cases, people are not asking for the biggest pool,” said Spink. “They are asking whether a pool can work in the space they already have. That is where custom steel makes sense. The pool can be designed for the backyard instead of forcing the backyard to fit the pool.”
The expanded availability follows interest from people outside the company’s local British Columbia market who wanted the same kind of custom steel pool structure but were not located in the Lower Mainland. The approach allows the pool structure to be designed and fabricated in British Columbia, then prepared for shipment to the project location.
Custom steel construction can support a range of backyard uses. A narrow lot may call for a slim swimming lane. A smaller outdoor space may be better suited to a compact plunge pool or cold plunge. A family backyard may need steps, benches or a shallow social area. A view-focused property may need the pool to work with a patio, garden, retaining wall, view corridor or existing landscape.
The pool structures are manufactured in the Greater Vancouver area using Canadian steel. The company’s product information notes that its pools are built with galvanized steel, designed for strength and durability, and backed by a 25-year warranty. Because the structures are prefabricated in a controlled environment, the pool can be built before arriving at the property. The prefabricated structure can then be transported and lifted into place.
For homeowners, the appeal is personal. A pool often becomes the centre of the backyard. It is where families gather, people cool down after a hot day, children learn to swim and friends spend summer afternoons. When the pool is designed around the space instead of squeezed into it, the whole yard can feel more natural and usable.
“A good backyard pool should feel like it belongs there,” said Spink. “It should work with the home, the yard and the way people want to live outside. Taking an idea from a conversation or a sketch and turning it into something real is one of the most rewarding parts of the work.”
As Canadian homeowners put more thought into how outdoor spaces fit the homes they have built, bought or renovated, the pool conversation is becoming more design-driven. The question is not always which model is available. Sometimes, it is whether the right pool can be made to fit.

Free week-long construction day camp empowers young women to explore careers in the skilled trades
Allied Construction Industries (ACI), in partnership with the Western & Southern Workforce Development Center at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, hosted the 2026 ACI She Builds Camp, a free construction day camp for girls ages 13-18, from June 22-26 at the Boys & Girls Clubs location at 1205 Dewey Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45205.
ACI She Builds Camp is more than just a summer camp — it is an opportunity for young women to discover their potential, build confidence, and explore exciting careers in construction and the skilled trades. Throughout the week, campers gain hands-on technical skills while also developing essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and self-awareness. From using tools and building projects to connecting with industry professionals and mentors, girls are leaving the program empowered with new knowledge, greater confidence, and a stronger sense of what they are capable of achieving.

As part of the camp’s legacy project, campers and ACI member companies worked together to build a workforce-ready closet at the Boys & Girls Clubs facility. The closet will assist all students on their career path by providing future members with access to tools, equipment, and clothing for years to come. “Through the support of our ACI member companies and community partners, we’ve been bringing meaningful career exploration and mentorship directly into the communities we serve for decades,” said Brittney Cousins, Director of Workforce Solutions at Allied Construction Industries. “Together, we’re helping young women see themselves in an industry that they can lead and thrive in.”

“We are very excited about this new partnership with the Boys & Girls Club. Providing young people line of sight and access to rewarding careers in the trades is a huge part of ACI’s overall workforce development strategy. We call it the triple-win: youth embark on an excellent career pathway, local employers get the talent they need to grow and thrive, and our overall Cincinnati region enjoys a sustained vitality and vibrancy as a result,” said Jordan Vogel, Executive Director of Allied Construction Industries.
“We are thrilled to welcome ACI She Builds Camp to our Western & Southern Workforce Development Center,” said Adelaide Forte, Director of the Western & Southern Workforce Development Center at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. “This partnership gives our members hands-on exposure to careers they may never have considered, and the career closet will continue to benefit our community long after camp ends. We’re grateful to ACI and its member companies for investing in the next generation.”
Each day of camp featured rotation stations led by women professionals from ACI member companies, giving campers exposure to trades such as carpentry, plastering, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more.

ORLANDO, FL – June 29, 2026
Al-Air Corporation, a licensed HVAC and electrical contractor serving Central Florida and the Greater Tampa area, is offering homeowners across the region a combined home-services model that brings air conditioning and electrical work under a single, locally owned company. With more than 14 years in business, master electricians on staff, and 24/7 availability with no after-hours surcharge, the family-owned company aims to simplify home maintenance for Florida residents who would otherwise coordinate two separate contractors.

For most homeowners, HVAC and electrical work are handled by separate companies, requiring two sets of appointments, two invoices, and two points of coordination. Al-Air’s model consolidates both under one roof. The company employs licensed HVAC technicians and certified master electricians directly — not subcontractors — allowing it to handle projects that span both disciplines, such as a panel upgrade performed alongside a full air conditioning replacement, with a single crew and a single schedule.
On the HVAC side, Al-Air provides same-day diagnosis and repair for all makes and models, system replacements, bi-annual maintenance plans, and air duct cleaning suited to Florida’s humid climate. The company’s AC repair and service operates around the clock, a meaningful distinction in a region where air conditioning failures during summer months can create both comfort and safety concerns. Al-Air emphasises straightforward diagnosis without unnecessary upselling.
On the electrical side, the company’s certified master electricians handle electrical panel upgrades, whole-home and single-room rewiring, electrical repairs, and lighting installation. Because older wiring and outdated panels present genuine fire and safety risks, the company performs these services to code with licensed staff on every job, rather than routing electrical work through third-party subcontractors as many HVAC-focused companies do.
Al-Air dispatches across more than 11 cities throughout Central Florida and the Greater Tampa area, including Orlando, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, Clermont, Lakeland, and Tampa, with same-day availability in most areas. To make larger projects accessible, the company offers flexible financing with plans starting as low as $89 per month, alongside free estimates and a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
“Florida homeowners shouldn’t have to juggle two contractors, two schedules, and two invoices for work that one qualified company can handle. We built Al-Air to be that company — licensed technicians and master electricians under one roof, available when people actually need us, with no hidden fees and no after-hours surcharges.”
— CEO, Al-Air Corporation
As a locally owned business rather than a franchise, Al-Air positions its long-term reputation in the Central Florida community as central to how it operates. With thousands of completed jobs, a five-star Google review record, and full licensing across both HVAC and master electrical work, the company aims to serve as a single, dependable point of contact for the home comfort and electrical needs of Central Florida and Tampa-area residents.

GW Health Strengthens Strategic Communications Offering With AI Partnership
Jersey City, NJThe collaboration combines strategic communications and storytelling expertise with AI-powered scientific content development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
Jersey City, NJ
GW Health, a strategic communications agency serving pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences organizations, today announced a partnership with VarsaAI, an AI-powered mechanism-of-action (MOA) and mechanism of disease (MOD) content platform designed for regulated healthcare communications.

Both companies share a conviction that AI has a specific and powerful role to play in pharmaceutical communications. Through this partnership, GW Health clients gain access to VarsaAI’s technology, which produces compliant, high-quality MOA and mechanism-of-disease content in minutes rather than weeks
“Life sciences companies are being asked to reach audiences faster, with greater complexity and higher stakes than ever before. VarsaAI gives us the technology to meet that demand, and GW Health brings the strategic and creative expertise to make it land.”
Mechanism-of-action content plays an important role in product education, disease awareness initiatives, scientific congress activities, and healthcare professional engagement. Traditionally, the development of these materials can involve multiple stakeholders and extended production timelines. VarsaAI’s platform is designed to streamline content creation through scientific verification tools, source referencing capabilities, and documentation features that support medical, legal, and regulatory review processes.
“What GW Health brings to this partnership is the strategic framework that allows VarsaAI to perform at its highest level. They understand how mechanism-of-action content lives within a broader launch story or disease education effort. The result for their clients is a faster path from scientific concept to compliant, audience-ready content than anything else on the market,” said Florence Holliday, Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of VarsaAI.
The companies stated that the partnership reflects a shared focus on advancing the responsible use of artificial intelligence within life sciences communications.
