Rochester, MI
DigiArmorX, a digital-safety and cybersecurity education startup founded by cybersecurity and technology-risk professional Nidhi Srivastava, announces the continued development of its education initiative for students in Grades 3–12. The initiative is designed to help schools, educators, parents and students address evolving online risks through repeated, practical and age-appropriate cybersecurity education.

For nearly two decades, Srivastava’s career has centered on one question: How do you identify risk before it becomes an incident?
A cybersecurity and technology-risk professional, Srivastava has worked across various industries, with experience spanning cybersecurity architecture, governance, risk, compliance and technology programs.
Today, she is applying that enterprise-risk mindset to a different population: children.
DigiArmorX is built around a simple premise: In a world where children grow up online, cybersecurity is no longer merely a technical skill. It is a life skill.
DigiArmorX: www.digiarmorx.ai
The idea became personal after her son encountered an online scam and cyberbullying in elementary school. The experience made Srivastava question whether children are being adequately prepared for risks that follow them from classrooms to gaming platforms, group chats, social media and AI-powered environments.
Schools may teach digital citizenship. Parents may install monitoring tools. But technology cannot make every decision for a child.
That gap became the foundation for DigiArmorX.
Beyond One-Time Cybersecurity Awareness
Srivastava believes digital safety cannot be effectively taught through an annual presentation, worksheet or list of online dos and don’ts.
Children repeatedly encounter changing risks, including scams, phishing, cyberbullying, privacy threats, social engineering, deepfakes and AI-generated content.
DigiArmorX is therefore built around three principles: learning should be adaptive, repeated and risk-based.
The platform combines interactive stories, adaptive quizzes, games, real-world decision-making scenarios and hands-on Cyber Labs, with experiences tailored for different grade levels from Grades 3–12. Students build mastery through practice, while parents and educators gain visibility into progress, risk signals and areas requiring additional reinforcement.
The goal is not to turn children, parents, teachers or schools into cybersecurity experts. It is to build judgment.
“Cyber risk follows the child. Cyber resilience should too,” Srivastava says.
Supporting Schools, Educators and Families
The DigiArmorX approach is intended to complement the role of schools and educators while giving families additional resources for addressing digital-safety challenges.
Children encounter online environments both inside and outside the classroom. As a result, Srivastava believes cybersecurity education should extend beyond a single school presentation or isolated lesson and become part of the repeated learning experience surrounding a child.
For schools and educators, the platform is designed to provide age-appropriate experiences across Grades 3–12. For parents, the approach provides additional visibility into areas where children may require reinforcement.
The objective is to help children develop decision-making skills they can apply when they encounter unfamiliar online situations.
Books, Research, Speaking and Cyber Education
Srivastava has taken that mission beyond software.
She is an award-winning author of the BrightShield Digital Defenders cybersecurity books for young readers and Growing Safe Digital Minds, a practical resource for parents and educators. Her books use relatable situations to make complex online risks understandable and actionable for families and are available for purchase on Amazon.
She also creates accessible cybersecurity education for children through her YouTube channel, @digiarmorxcyberkids, translating topics such as scams, passwords, privacy, cyberbullying, AI and online safety into content younger audiences can understand.
Her voice is increasingly part of broader conversations about children and technology. Srivastava has appeared on podcasts including Mom and Me: Positive Talk and The Weird Canadian, discussing cybersecurity, parenting, AI safety, digital resilience and the realities children face online.
She has also started her own podcast conversations around “The Digital Playground Has No Fence,” exploring cyberbullying, AI and deepfakes, online judgment, responsible technology use and why parents and teachers should not be expected to become cybersecurity experts.
Her work also extends into cybersecurity research, education advocacy and public speaking. Srivastava has authored and contributed to various research papers in the cybersecurity field, addressing areas including AI-enabled cybersecurity, automation, biometric security and emerging digital risks.
She has spoken at TEDx, IEEE conferences and World Berlin conferences, among other professional and educational forums, where she has advocated for the importance of introducing cybersecurity and digital-safety education at an early age. Her work emphasizes preparing children with practical awareness, judgment and resilience before they encounter increasingly complex online threats.
Srivastava has also participated in cybersecurity, technology and K–12 education events and outreach initiatives focused on making cybersecurity concepts more accessible to students, families and educators.
DigiArmorX has been developed within Oakland University’s OU INC entrepreneurial ecosystem and has secured intellectual-property protection around its technology.
Building Judgment Before Something Goes Wrong
DigiArmorX is now moving through early-stage validation with educators, families and education organizations for Grades 3–12.
For Srivastava, the larger idea goes beyond one company.
A security tool may block a malicious website. It cannot always tell a child whether to trust a stranger, recognize manipulation, question a convincing deepfake or know how to respond to cyberbullying.
Those decisions require skills, and skills develop through repeated practice.
“The digital playground has no fence,” Srivastava says.
Her approach is centered on helping children learn how to navigate that environment before they are expected to navigate it alone.

ORAYA Developer Announces First UAE Project on Marjan Beach

Dubai, UAE
ORAYA Developer, a newly established real estate developer in the United Arab Emirates, today announced its official entry into the market with its first residential project on Marjan Beach, Ras Al Khaimah. The company aims to introduce a new standard for lifestyle-led coastal living in the UAE, guided by a founding philosophy that a home should be experienced, not merely occupied.
ORAYA’s approach to development is rooted in the belief that exceptional residences are defined by how they make residents feel and how seamlessly they integrate into daily life. The company’s design process considers every aspect of the living experience, from the structural language of the building and the selection of natural materials, to the quality of light throughout the day and the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape. The goal is to create environments where a sense of calm and belonging is immediate and natural.
This philosophy is informed by a study of global architectural traditions and the ways different cultures have interpreted the relationship between people, nature, and built space. Rather than adhering to a single architectural style, ORAYA reinterprets these influences for each site and community, aiming to create developments that feel unique and deeply connected to their locations. The result is intended to be more than a conventional residential project—each address is envisioned as a world of its own, where residents feel an immediate desire to stay.
The selection of Marjan Beach, Ras Al Khaimah, for ORAYA’s debut project reflects the developer’s confidence in the region’s growing appeal as a destination for lifestyle-focused living. According to independent market analysis, prime apartment prices on Marjan Beach reached their highest level in the current cycle through 2025, with year-on-year price growth exceeding thirty percent. The area is also set to benefit from the upcoming launch of a major integrated hospitality and entertainment destination, a USD 5.1 billion development scheduled to open in 2027, which is expected to further boost tourism and residential capital values.
“We spent considerable time understanding where the conditions were right,” said Chirag Rathi, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ORAYA. “Ras Al Khaimah is at a point in its trajectory that reminds us of Dubai a decade ago. The infrastructure investment is serious, the tourism momentum is real, and the coastal environment is genuinely world-class. For a developer whose work is about creating addresses rather than units, that combination is exactly what we were looking for.”
ORAYA’s commitment to quality is reflected in its approach to material selection and craftsmanship. The company collaborates with a carefully chosen supply chain of European craftspeople and artisans, prioritizing partners who share its high standards. The use of sintered stone surfaces, Italian-designed cabinetry, hand-selected bathroom stone, and bespoke wall coverings are not considered premium upgrades, but rather the starting point for every ORAYA project. Each material is selected for its tactile qualities and its ability to contribute to the overall living experience.
“There is a version of real estate development where design is the story you tell after the building is finished,” said Chirag Rathi, spokesperson for ORAYA. “For us, it starts much earlier and goes much deeper. We think about how a resident arrives home, the quality of light in a room at different times of day, the relationship between an interior and the landscape outside it, the materials underfoot and at your fingertips. These are not finishing touches. They are the foundations of how a place is experienced, and they are the standard every ORAYA project is held to from the very first conversation.”
The inaugural ORAYA development will be a fully furnished residential address on Marjan Beach, delivered in partnership with a globally recognized hospitality brand. While further details about the project will be released in the coming weeks, the developer has confirmed that additional projects across the UAE are already in advanced planning stages. This reflects ORAYA’s ambition to build a portfolio of landmark coastal addresses in some of the country’s most sought-after locations.
“ORAYA is about creating places that people aspire to experience and call home. Places where beauty is felt in the everyday, where every detail has a reason to exist, and where the experience of arriving — and of staying — is something that never becomes ordinary,” said Chirag Rathi, spokesperson for ORAYA.

About ORAYA
ORAYA is a UAE-based real estate developer founded on the belief that exceptional residences are not defined simply by how they look, but by how they make you feel and how effortlessly they become part of your life. The developer conceives each project in its entirety — from architecture, natural materials, and landscape to the quality of light, the arrival experience, and the quieter details that make a home genuinely liveable. Drawing on a study of how different cultures and places have understood the relationship between people, nature, and built space, ORAYA reinterprets these influences through a contemporary lens that is specific to each site and each community. The intention is to create places that feel less like conventional developments and more like worlds of their own: where beauty is felt in the everyday and every detail has a reason to exist. ORAYA’s inaugural project is located on Marjan Beach, Ras Al Khaimah. Further information on the developer’s vision, leadership, and upcoming projects will be announced in the coming weeks. CONNECTICUT, USA
Jay Ruane, a Connecticut defense attorney, announced a $19 online guide for drivers assessing automated camera notices before choosing a response.

A Lower-Cost Review Option
The guide at Mr. Speeding Ticket addresses the practical gap between a small ticket and the cost of traditional legal help. In Fairfield, the first violation is listed as a $50 fine plus a $15 processing fee, for a total of $65. The resource does not predict an outcome; it gives drivers a structured way to begin reviewing the notice and the procedure behind it. Its instructions cover the difference between a warning and a fine, questions about the notice, Freedom of Information Act records requests, certified-mail documentation, and preparation for a hearing.
Where the Supporting Record May Sit
The toolkit points drivers to police departments, municipalities, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and camera vendors when identifying records that may explain an automated notice. The records and questions relevant to each matter can differ. According to reporting by WFSB, Fairfield school-zone cameras generated more than 114,000 warnings during their first 18 days. That volume helps explain why the guide focuses on how images are reviewed, vehicle information is matched, and notices are supported.
Camera Notices and Plate Readers Are Not the Same System
Work-zone and school-zone cameras can generate mailed notices. License-plate readers can record plate information, vehicle descriptions, location, date, and time. Under Connecticut’s new law, taking effect October 1, 2026, agencies must delete plate-reader information after 21 days unless an exception applies, including an active investigation. The law also restricts use for immigration enforcement and for targeting people seeking reproductive or gender-affirming care. Governor Ned Lamont has asked municipalities to pause new installations while guidance is developed. The Governor’s request applies only to new installations. It does not remove or deactivate the systems already operating across Connecticut. More than two dozen towns have existing installations that remain active and continue scanning vehicles every day. The $19 guide is available at Mr. Speeding Ticket.

Edmonton, CA
E-BOOTS has announced that its SMART boot project has entered the production stage, marking a significant milestone in the development of technology-integrated footwear for demanding work and outdoor environments. The announcement signals E-BOOTS’ commitment to advancing footwear solutions that meet the needs of workers and outdoor enthusiasts facing extreme conditions.

This move into production represents a key step forward for E-BOOTS, as the company works to create a new generation of winter and extreme-environment footwear. The SMART boot project is designed to combine traditional boot construction with advanced integrated technologies, aiming to address the evolving requirements of professionals and outdoor users who operate in challenging climates. By reaching the production stage, E-BOOTS is transitioning from research and development to the manufacturing phase, where prototypes and concepts are refined into tangible products.
Founded and led by CEO Peter Quansah Jr., E-BOOTS was established to address the observation that conventional winter footwear has seen limited evolution despite significant advances in technology. The company’s approach is to develop footwear that can actively respond to the environmental conditions encountered by workers and outdoor users, providing features and benefits beyond what traditional boots offer. This philosophy underpins the SMART boot project, which seeks to integrate intelligent systems directly into rugged footwear.
The E-BOOTS SMART boot platform is being developed with a suite of features, including active heating, electronic controls, smartphone connectivity, and location-based capabilities. These technologies are intended to give users greater control over their comfort and safety, as well as access to real-time information and connectivity in remote or hazardous environments. The broader vision for E-BOOTS is to enable footwear that not only protects but also empowers users through technology, supporting them as they work or explore in severe weather and terrain.
E-BOOTS is targeting two primary markets with its SMART boot project. The first is professionals working in demanding cold-weather environments, such as those in industrial work, construction, and skilled trades. The second market consists of outdoor users engaged in activities like hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and backcountry exploration. These groups often face unpredictable weather and difficult terrain, making reliable and adaptive footwear essential. Alberta’s severe winter conditions provide a natural environment for E-BOOTS to evaluate and test its technology, ensuring that the SMART boots are suited to real-world challenges.
According to the company, the SMART boot project is designed to address the specific needs of individuals who require more from their footwear than basic insulation. By integrating heating elements and digital connectivity, the boots aim to offer enhanced performance and functionality. The company’s focus on both industrial and recreational users reflects the broad applicability of its technology-integrated approach.
“Moving into production is an important step for E-BOOTS. We started with the idea that winter footwear could do more than simply insulate the foot. Our goal is to explore what becomes possible when footwear, heating technology and digital connectivity are designed as one system.”
Peter Quansah Jr., CEO, E-BOOTS
The current production stage is focused on advancing the SMART boot project toward formal product testing. E-BOOTS states that it will announce when the project officially moves into its testing phase. During this next phase, product performance, safety, durability, and other technical characteristics will be evaluated through appropriate testing and certification processes. The company emphasizes that these steps are essential to ensure the SMART boots meet the rigorous demands of their intended users. E-BOOTS plans to provide further information as testing progresses and milestones are reached.
This production milestone represents the next stage in E-BOOTS’ ongoing effort to establish a new category of technology-integrated winter footwear. The company views this achievement as a foundation for future product development, with the goal of expanding its offerings and continuing to innovate in the field of smart-wear for demanding environments.
For more information about E-BOOTS and its SMART boot project, visit the E-BOOTS website or contact the company by email at [email protected].
