Dome Living, Digital Frontiers, and the Decentralized Future: Insights with Krishen Iyer
A Conversation between Nick Betancourt, PRAI.US, and Krishen Iyer, Founder of MAIS Consulting
In an age where traditional industries rapidly collide with digital innovation, the leaders reshaping these intersections become pioneers of our decentralized tomorrow. Among these visionaries is Krishen Iyer, founder of MAIS Consulting, who blends technology, strategic marketing, and insurance solutions. To understand the intricacies of navigating—and leading—in such transformative spaces, Nick Betancourt News sits down with Iyer for an exclusive discussion.

Nick Betancourt (NB): Krishen, you’ve built a career merging insurance, technology, and strategic marketing—truly varied yet harmonized fields. What sparked your journey into these intersections?
Krishen Iyer (KI): Thank you, Nick. My journey began somewhat intuitively. While studying at San Diego State University, I noticed a crucial gap in how insurance products were marketed. There was immense potential to leverage digital technologies to streamline processes and improve customer experience. This curiosity quickly turned into a business venture—American Health Solutions. From there, each step naturally followed from observing gaps, anticipating market shifts, and connecting dots others often overlooked.
NB: You’ve spoken of insurance technology as a decentralizing force. How does decentralization shape your vision?
KI: Decentralization isn’t just a technological concept; it’s a philosophy that democratizes access and empowers individuals. Particularly within insurance, decentralization eliminates intermediaries, streamlines claims processing, and enhances transparency. By implementing blockchain-based solutions at MAIS Consulting, we’ve enabled direct, secure interactions between insurers and consumers—effectively reshaping how trust is cultivated.
NB: Your latest initiative, MAIS Consulting, aims explicitly at reshaping health insurance distribution. What’s unique about your approach?
KI: MAIS Consulting marries deep industry expertise with innovative tech integration. We’re not just digitizing old models—we’re rethinking distribution altogether. Our solutions combine advanced analytics, data-driven decision-making, and AI to personalize insurance offerings. It’s about precise targeting and bespoke customer experiences rather than mass-market tactics. This precision benefits insurers and policyholders alike, creating efficiency while drastically improving engagement.
NB: Let’s pivot slightly. You’ve established successful companies—NMP Insurance Services and Managed Benefit Services among them. What’s your philosophy on “building to sell”?
KI: Building to sell is about foresight and strategic discipline. Each company I founded was structured from inception to scale efficiently and sustainably. My philosophy revolves around robust operational frameworks, clear financial metrics, and an adaptable growth strategy. The objective isn’t purely transactional; it’s about creating lasting value, something compelling enough that larger entities recognize its potential and integration opportunities.
NB: Interesting. In light of your varied experience, how do you see the interplay between traditional insurance companies and emergent fintech platforms?
KI: The interplay is a fascinating dance of competition and collaboration. Traditional insurers bring reliability and regulatory knowledge, while fintech platforms offer innovation, agility, and user-centric interfaces. Ideally, there’s a synergy—insurers adopting fintech-like agility and fintech embracing robust regulatory structures. The future will be about strategic alliances, integrating these strengths to provide holistic, customer-centric solutions.
NB: Speaking of the future, you’ve recently established the nonprofit organization, 4 Humans INC. How does philanthropy align with your professional endeavors?
KI: I firmly believe that successful entrepreneurship and philanthropy are intertwined. Creating economic value is only part of the picture; contributing positively to society is equally essential. 4 Humans INC is our expression of giving back, a structured commitment to make meaningful impacts. Whether supporting healthcare access, promoting educational opportunities, or funding innovative community projects, philanthropy is deeply embedded in our ethos.
NB: Reflecting back, what core lessons have shaped your approach most significantly?
KI: Adaptability and empathy. Markets, technology, and consumer expectations shift continuously. Successful entrepreneurs adapt without losing empathy for their customers’ evolving needs. Understanding human behavior, genuinely listening to feedback, and swiftly responding have always kept us ahead of the curve. These aren’t just strategic moves—they’re foundational values.
NB: Finally, Krishen, any insights for emerging entrepreneurs or consultants venturing into tech-driven industries?
KI: Focus intensely on adding genuine value rather than merely chasing profit. Understand your customers deeply—anticipate their needs even before they articulate them. And embrace technological innovation, not as an end in itself, but as a tool for delivering tangible, meaningful improvements in people’s lives. Always remain curious; never stop learning.
As our conversation concludes, it’s clear that Krishen Iyer’s insights span far beyond technology and business strategy alone. He paints a future that is not only digitally advanced but ethically anchored—fostering ecosystems where innovation meets empathy, and decentralization promotes genuine human connection. Iyer’s vision serves as a roadmap for industry leaders navigating the complexities of our digital age, affirming that the intersection of technology and humanity is where true progress thrives.

Global Kratom Coalition Supports Lafayette County Metro Narcotics’ Call to Target Concentrated Synthetic Opioids
WASHINGTON, D.C.Coalition supports the call for Mississippi lawmakers to align state law with the recent federal scheduling of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl(MGPI), MGM-15 & MGM-16 and the imminent scheduling of concentrated synthetic 7-OH.
Coalition supports the call for Mississippi lawmakers to align state law with the recent federal scheduling of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl(MGPI), MGM-15 & MGM-16 and the imminent scheduling of concentrated synthetic 7-OH.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Global Kratom Coalition today welcomed Lafayette County Metro Narcotics’ updated statement distinguishing natural kratom leaf from manufactured, concentrated and chemically altered products like the “SMAX” synthetic alkaloid products found at the scenes of the two tragic Ole Miss students’ deaths. The products found are not kratom products – they are dangerous synthetic novel opioids that have no place on store shelves across the country.
The agency correctly clarified that its initial public-safety warning following the tragic deaths of two University of Mississippi students “was not a declaration that kratom or any specific substance caused either death,” and that investigators will await autopsy and toxicology results before drawing conclusions.
Metro Narcotics also made an essential distinction lost in the public discussion: the difference between natural kratom leaf and highly concentrated synthetic alkaloid products that are at times fraudulently marketed under the kratom name. The agency noted that the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Aug. 26, 2026, Schedule I order targeted specific manufactured compounds: mitragynine pseudoindoxyl (MGPI), MGM-15 and MGM-16. It specifically did not target natural kratom leaf.
“Our hearts remain with the families and friends grieving these devastating losses,” said Matthew Lowe, Executive Director of the Global Kratom Coalition. “They deserve answers based on evidence, not premature speculation. We appreciate Metro Narcotics for making clear that toxicology must guide this investigation and for recognizing that traditional botanical kratom is fundamentally different from concentrated synthetic pressed tablets that were identified.”
The Global Kratom Coalition supports Metro Narcotics’ call for legislative hearings on concentrated synthetic 7-OH, MGPI, MGM-15 and MGM-16 and urges Mississippi lawmakers to strengthen state law accordingly. Mississippi should align with the federal government by scheduling these novel dangerous synthetic products already targeted by the DEA, including concentrated synthetic 7-OH, while avoiding a broad ban on natural kratom that would fail to address the products driving legitimate public-safety concerns.
“Law enforcement has identified the right problem and the right path forward,” Lowe added. “Mississippi can protect families by targeting the synthetic drugs being sold in tablets and other high-potency forms, holding bad actors accountable and ensuring state law aligns with federal law.”
The Lafayette County statement makes it clear that both deaths remain under investigation pending toxicology, distinguishes natural kratom leaf from novel synthetic products that masquerade as natural botanicals when they are anything but, and calls for legislative review in line with the scheduling actions taken by the DEA against MGPI, MGM15 & 16 and the pending scheduling of concentrated synthetic 7-OH products.

Latina-founded wellness brand introduces its U.S. portfolio featuring Myo- and D-Chiro-Inositol, Omega-3 and Marine Magnesium while bringing its “Hacks for Life” philosophy to American women
New York, USA
B-fit, a science-backed women’s wellness brand with Latin roots, is expanding its presence in the United States with a portfolio designed to make ingredient science more accessible, understandable and relevant to women’s everyday lives.

Created by women for women, B-fit is built around a simple belief: women’s wellness is not one-size-fits-all. From hormonal and metabolic wellness to energy, movement, rest and everyday wellbeing, the company develops supplements designed to accompany women’s evolving needs throughout different stages of life.
B-fit calls this approach its “Hacks for Life” philosophy—science translated into practical solutions for real life.
As the brand grows its U.S. presence, its initial portfolio will spotlight three increasingly relevant areas of women’s supplementation: inositol, omega-3 and magnesium.

A Closer Look at Inositol
One of B-fit’s hero categories is inositol, an ingredient that has received growing attention within women’s metabolic and reproductive wellness.
B-fit’s Just Inositol combines Myo-Inositol and D-Chiro-Inositol in a 40:1 ratio in an unflavored powder formulation. The brand’s Inositol Femme builds on that combination by incorporating Quatrefolic® active folate and N-acetylcysteine (NAC).
Myo-inositol and D-chiro inositol have been studied in connection with women’s metabolic and reproductive wellness, including research involving women with PCOS. For B-fit, however, the conversation extends beyond any single ingredient or condition. The brand’s goal is to help women better understand what is inside a formulation and the reasoning behind the ingredients they choose.
Omega-3 With Ingredient Transparency
B-fit applies the same philosophy to omega-3 supplementation by encouraging consumers to look beyond the words “fish oil” and understand the concentration of key fatty acids such as EPA and DHA.
According to company specifications, B-fit Smart Omega 3 provides 1,080 mg of EPA and 720 mg of DHA per serving, derived from salmon and fish oil and made with Epax-sourced omega-3.
The formulation reflects the company’s broader emphasis on ingredient transparency, sourcing and helping consumers understand what they are incorporating into their daily wellness routines.
A Marine-Sourced Approach to Magnesium
Completing the initial hero portfolio is B-fit Marine Magnesium, which uses magnesium of natural marine origin sourced from the French Mediterranean. The product is positioned as part of an everyday wellness routine supporting normal nervous-system and muscular function.
Together, the products represent the company’s approach to what it calls:
“Science Made for Women. Solutions Made for Real Life.”
“Women deserve to understand what they are putting into their bodies and why,” said Brenvita, Founder of B-fit. “Our goal with B-fit is to take the science behind women’s wellness and turn it into practical solutions women can actually understand and integrate into their lives.”
Latin Roots, Global Vision
While B-fit is proudly rooted in Latin heritage, its U.S. vision extends beyond any single demographic.
The company sees an important opportunity to build a meaningful connection with Latina women in the United States while simultaneously positioning B-fit as an inclusive women’s wellness brand for a broader American audience.
That distinction is central to the company’s expansion strategy: celebrating its Latin identity while recognizing that women’s wellness needs are diverse, individual and constantly evolving.
B-fit enters this next stage with an established digital community. Company materials report approximately 260,000 Instagram followers around the B-fit community, while founder Brenvita’s social platforms reach audiences in the millions.
As the brand expands its U.S. footprint, B-fit plans to combine product education, wellness experiences, community activations and creator partnerships to introduce more women to its approach to everyday wellness.
About B-fit
B-fit is a science-backed women’s wellness brand created by women for women. Rooted in Latin heritage and designed for a global community, B-fit develops supplements created to support women’s evolving wellness needs across areas including hormonal and metabolic wellness, energy, movement, rest and everyday wellbeing.
According to the company, B-fit supplements are developed with health professionals, nutritionists and doctors, and the brand works with specialized ingredient suppliers across its portfolio. Its approach combines science, ingredient transparency and practical solutions designed to integrate into women’s everyday lives.

Together, the companies will accelerate adoption of advanced battery materials across automotive, energy storage, consumer electronics, defense, and other high-growth battery applications.
Ten-Nine Technologies’ TENIX is an “anti-aging” additive for batteries that stops the chemical decomposition responsible for sapping their power over time. It’s blended directly into a battery’s cathode material during manufacturing, making up just 0.5–2% of the cathode’s weight, and requires no new equipment or battery redesign to adopt.
In third-party testing, TENIX delivered over 75% more charge-discharge cycles, extending a typical EV battery’s life from 150,000 to more than 265,000 miles – and that longer life cuts the cost per kilowatt-hour by around 40%, while 10% lower resistance means faster charging and less energy wasted as heat. TENIX can also cut a battery’s heat output by around 40% over its lifetime, a benefit that’s becoming increasingly critical for AI-driven data centers.
